Self Application Classes – SQ

This class is for an individual that would like to learn to do make up on herself. Whether you know absolutely nothing about make up or you just want to improve your skill, this would be the class to book! You’d get to use all my products at no extra cost. The duration of the class is 2 hours and you’d cover the following topics:

Advanced Pro 1 Day Course – SQ

This class is offered for pro artists that want to learn another artists skill and technique. It allows you as a make up artist to touch up on your skill and improve the quality of your work. This is often suitable as a retouching course for make up artists that have studied some time back. The 1 Day Course consists of you working on a model of your choice on any look of your choice. For this course you will receive a small gift and a certificate on completion.

Advanced Pro 2 Day Course – SQ

This class is offered for beginner artists who would like to learn different styles of make up on models. We will select two models, one for each day. Each day will be a different focus. For example day one could be bridal and day two could be special occasion. This course is certified and you’ll receive a small gift on the completion of your course.

Personal Make Up Shopper – SQ

If you’re tired of being bombarded by a sales consultant of a specific brand and would like to purchase the right products for your skin tone and skin type with professional advise, this service is perfect for you.

This service allows for me to meet my client at a shopping center where we can build up her make up collection. This applies to clients that want to buy make up for themselves or make up artists that need help building their kit. The malls included in this offer is Canal Walk and Tygervalley Mall. If the mall is outside of Cape Town, extra call out fees will be added.

You will receive my 30% discounts as well at leading high end brands such as Mac and Inglot.

Group Workshop

This workshop takes place in the comfort of your own home. The host lady will provide a space for the workshop to take place as well as optional refreshments for the ladies. The make up and other requirements will be provided.
These classes are done on 3 different levels: Beginner | Advanced | Pro (On Models)
This rate is valid for groups of 5+ people. If you’re less, please email us for a personalized quotation. The goodie bags is an extra perk for your class. They consist of tools that you will get to use and keep for yourself once the workshop is complete. In this workshop, you’ll be able to make lists of products that you need to add to your make up bag and learn techniques on how to do your own make up (or make up on a model in the pro class). If you’d like to learn how to apply your own make up with a group of ladies, this is a cheaper alternative to the one on one class.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a trial necessary?

I know weddings can be quite costly. That’s why I decided on a ‘build your package’ type of booking system. This just allows brides to choose whether or not they want a trial. I’m always in favor of a trial because it is my first encounter with the bride. Bridal Make Up is quite personal and needs to express the brides personality and how she usually usually does her make up so that she doesn’t look like a different person on her wedding day. Many of my brides don’t usually wear make up and don’t know what they want and tend to be quite nervous about the outcome. A trial makes the whole process a lot smoother and leaves the bride at ease.

Should i take false lashes or lash extensions?

I always prefer lash extensions because the bride has time to get use to them and she doesn’t feel uncomfortable on the day while trying to get use to false lashes. If the bride doesn’t want to do extensions, then I do offer the application of false lashes as part of the service.

When is the appropriate time to book my wedding make up?

Bookings fill up quite fast. So I’d recommend booking as soon as you’ve secured your wedding date. This avoids disappointment of me already being booked out as I usually receive bookings a year in advance.

What is needed to secure my booking?

Once you’ve been quoted, you need to pay a 50% NR deposit and email proof of payment through to me and your booking will be secure.

Do you offer touch ups?

I’ve never needed to touch up a brides make up because I set the make up to last the entire day. It also takes up another brides time to stay on call all day for a bride. I do however give the bride tips on how to cry in a way that won’t damage the make up. Because of this I don’t offer touch ups.

How should I plan my time out for make up on my wedding day?

Bridal Make Up takes an hour. If you do a trial and we already know what look you’re going for, this allows me to work faster and I can be done in 45 minutes. I stay with you up until the end of your dressing and getting ready for photos to make sure everything goes smoothly. Bridesmaid make up takes about 30min per bridesmaid. Same applies to mother of the bride.

Do you offer discounts on group bookings?

If the booking is 6+ people I will offer a discount due to the size of the booking.

Which areas do you travel out to?

I travel out to clients anywhere in Cape Town and just outside of Cape Town. If I have more than one bride on the day, I won’t take a client out of town as well. I do accept bookings in other cities as well, on the condition that it’s booked in advance and travel costs are covered.
